The High Tech Companies Are Hiring Because You Can't Work For Them

A quick visit of the world's most popular websites finds them all hiring at the moment.
The list goes on folks.

You probably spend a good part of your day on some of these sites, and yet you've never realized that maybe you should look to work for a company that you actually like.

You think just because you've got 1,400 friends on Facebook, and you own every Apple product - you're an expert and can work for them.

You're wrong.

Know what JavaScript is? Hint: it's not a new drink at Starbucks.
What's Objective C? How about JQuery? Do you know what Sencha Touch is? Ever heard of XML? How about how an API works?

No, no, no and no again.

That's too bad, because you'd be hired if you did.

Funny thing is you can teach yourself this stuff on the internet about as well as you can from a prestigious University, because it's changing so fast - and any text book is out-dated the minuet it's published. Not to mention you can probably apply for some of these jobs based on your skills - and not necessarily what grades you got in school. (You probably wouldn't even need a degree if you self taught yourself).

Chances are you're too lazy though. It's kind of like learning a new language and no one thinks that's cool. But based on how popular these companies are, it would be kinda cool to say you worked there. Too bad you can't.
